August 2026 Handicap Results

Well done to everyone who turned out in the summer rain last Monday to take part in the handicap. And particular plaudits to those of you improving on your previous times in spite of the conditions (that’s anyone with a gross time below of under 20 minutes).

Unfortunately, some big eejit lost the place when setting half of you off because he couldn’t read his soggy starting list. As a result, the time and position for everyone with an asterisk against their name below is approximate (give or take 10s or so and a finishing position or two). To compound matters the same big eejit set Val off nearly two and a half minutes after she should have been (despite her protestations!) Which all means, the provisional results from Monday have had to be updated. These are as follows. And I’m off to enrol on the Scottish Athletics ‘Basic Timekeeping’ course.

NB For asterisked folk especially, if you think your time was more than about 10s different to what I’ve shown below, please let me know.
